2. Symptom
The cross rib protrusion of the rotary shaft of the paper entry guide may break allowing
the paper entry guide to fall off.
3. Cause
If paper misfeeds at the paper entry guide and the entry guide is opened it is possible that
when the paper is cleared excessive pressure can be applied to the guide causing the rib
to be broken off.
Increase in strength of rotary shaft of the paper entry
guide.

4. Description
To increase the strength of the rib it has been changed from a cross to a rib. Refer to
Fig1, Fig2 and Fig3 for details.
5. Action
Running change from November 2003 production.
6. Parts Action
The part code and price rank have not been changed.
