Description:
When opening the lower exterior door (P/G 1-14) to either remove a paper jam or add toner,
the upper exterior cabinet (Toner Hopper - P/G 18-20) may be opened by mistake, causing
the front door actuator to lock within the door switch holder. In extreme cases, when forced,
this may cause the front door actuator to break.
To prevent the actuator breaking, the shape of the front exterior door actuator has been
changed.
Note: The Part Code for the front exterior door will not be changed.
Field Action:
To improve the serviceability in the field, a Door SW Plate for repairing the Front Exterior
Door (lower) has been established.
Attachment Procedure
1. Clean the surface of the Door Actuator with Alcohol.
