We are pleased to announce that we are now taking bookings for the Two Day AR-5132
Connectivity Technical Training course that will cover the BD14 Printer Board and the
Network Card that fit to the AR-5132 copier.

The first course will commence at the Manchester office on the 11

th

 December 1997, with a

9.30am start.  Further dates are available and can be booked for January 1998.

The Connectivity Training will include the following topics:

•

 Installation of the BD14 Printer Board and Network Card.

•

 Demonstration of EPROM / Flash Memory Upgrade.

•

 Installation of Print Driver software on various operating systems.

•

 Connection of the AR-5132 to the network.

•

 Basic Troubleshooting of the BD14 Printer Board / Network Card.

•

 Outline of the Technicians / Customers expected responsibilities.

•

 An explanation of the problem escalation procedure.

•

 An explanation of the special tools and resources required to fully support the

product.

Please Note

The initial applicants for this course should be technicians that meet the following criteria,

•

 Senior Technicians that already possess a working knowledge of Windows and Dos

And

•

 Senior Technicians that have already attended either the one day AR-5132 Product

Familiarisation Seminar or the Two day AR-5132 Stand Alone Technical Training Course.

Knowledge of networks and a previous experience in connecting printers to networks would be
an advantage.

For those technicians who do not currently posses a knowledge of networking but wish to
attend the future Connectivity Training, we have arranged discounted rates with an Official
Microsoft / Novell Training Centre for both a One Day Introduction To Networks and a “Start
To Finish” course with Microsoft Certified Professional recognition.   Further details regarding
these courses will follow in hard copy.

Please be aware that a back to back Two Day AR-5132 Stand Alone Training course and a Two
Day Connectivity course will commence on the 19

th

–22

nd

 January for those technicians that may

wish to attend connectivity training but have not yet attended stand alone training.

If you wish to book on either the Connectivity Training or the Back to Back Stand
Alone/Connectivity Course please complete the following booking forms and return them to the
Training Administrator at Sharp Manchester on Fax No 0161-205-0014.

Please be aware that both the One Day Product Familiarisation Seminar for experienced
Technicians and the Two Day Stand Alone Training for SF20xx trainied technicians can still be
requested if required, also using the following booking form.
