1. Action to establish uniformity of the paper winder pulley (to improve

productivity).

2.General:

The paper winder pulley used in the optical unit of the models listed above has been
changed to the paper winder pulley used in other models as a measure to establish
uniformity. This action has been carried out as a measure to improve productivity.

3.Action:

From the 1st lot of December 1998 production.

2. Addition of a fusing lower paper guide to alleviate problems of copy paper

curling.

2. General:

Action to alleviate problems of copy paper curling has already been carried out in the fusing
unit, and in accordance with this action a fusing lower paper guide has been attached to the
transport base plate of the machine.
