HEAT ROLLER WRINKLING

2.General:
The lower heat roller of the fusing unit is comprised of silicon rubber wrapped around a
PFA tube. Wrinkles are sometimes formed due to differences in heat contraction and
shrinkage. When the lower heat roller is heated to the proper temperature for fusing, the
problem is corrected, and the wrinkles are absorbed by the fusing nip due to the fixed
pressure. As a result, there is no problem with either the fusing performance or the life
span of the lower heat roller.
