CLEAN THE OVEN AT REGULAR INTERVALS AND REMOVE ANY FOOD DEPOSITS - It is important to
keep the oven clean, as this may lead to deterioration of the surfaces. This could adversely affect the life of
the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.
VERY IMPORTANT CAUTION
•Disconnect the power cord before cleaning or
leave the door open to inactivate the oven
during cleaning.
•Before cleaning, make sure the oven is
completely cool except for the special cleaning
of the oven interior instructed below.
•Do not allow grease or dirt to build up on the
door seals and adjacent parts as this may
prevent the door from closing correctly and may
cause a leakage of microwaves. To clean use a
mild detergent solution on a soft damp cloth.
•Do not use commercial oven cleaners, abrasive
or harsh cleaners or scouring pads on any part
of your microwave oven.
•Do not sprinkle water onto the oven directly. It
may cause electric shock, leakage of electricity
or damage of the oven.
•The oven should not be cleaned with a water jet.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
OUTER CABINET
Wipe the outside of the microwave oven with a
mild detergent solution, such as washing - up
liquid, and warm water on a soft cloth.
CONTROL PANEL
Using a cloth dampened with water only, gently
wipe the panel until it becomes clean. Avoid the
use of excess water. Do not use any sort of
chemical or abrasive cleaner. To do so may cause
severe damage to the panel and make key entry
impossible.
OVEN INTERIOR
• For hygienic reasons and easy cleaning, it is
necessary to wipe any splatters or spills within
the oven with a soft damp cloth or sponge
immediately  after use or at the end of each day.
For heavier spills, heat 500ml of water in a
microwave - safe container for 15 minutes on
100% microwave power. Remove the container
and wipe the interior several times using mild
soapy solution.
TAKE CARE NOT TO GET BURNT.
Built - up splashes may overheat and begin to
smoke or catch fire, and cause arcing. Harder to
remove splatters may occur if the oven is not
thoroughly cleaned or if there is long time/high
temperature cooking.
• Make sure that mild soap or water does not
penetrate through the small vents in the walls
which may cause damage to the oven.
• Do not use spray type cleaners on the oven
interior. Do not use a steam cleaner.
• After cleaning the interior thoroughly, residual grease may
be removed from the interior ducts and heaters by simply
operating the oven with Refresh Cycle. To operate the
Refresh Cycle, press the STOP/CLEAR key and hold for 3
seconds, and then touch the START key. The display will
show "30.00-R" and the oven will work for 30 minutes in
convection mode. Ventilate the room if necessary.
ACCESSORIES
The accessories should be washed in a mild washing up
liquid solution and dried. They are dishwasher safe.
SPECIAL NOTE for TURNTABLE SUPPORT:
After cooking, always clean the turntable support,
especially around the rollers. These must be free
from food splashes and grease. Built-up splashes
or grease may overheat and cause arcing, which
may begin to smoke or catch fire.
NOTE: Keep the waveguide cover and
accessories clean at all times. If you leave
grease or fat in the cavity or on accessories, it
may overheat, cause arcing, smoke or even
catch fire when next using the oven.
CRUMB TRAY
Wipe the crumb tray with a soft damp cloth after
use or at the end of each day.
SERVICE MAINTENANCE CLEANING
In order to maintain your oven in it’s optimum
working condition, it is recommended to have the
maintenance cleaning by an Authorised Sharp
Service Agent. It is recommended to carry this out
every 12 months or whenever a heavy build up of
grease is apparent on the cavity walls. This is not
covered under warranty.
OVEN LAMP REPLACEMENT
1. To replace the oven lamp, first disconnnect
power cord.
2. To release the cover remove the screw on the
oven lamp access cover.
3. Replace oven lamp with a new one (25W/240V).
4. Replace the oven lamp access cover and secure
with the screw removed in step 2.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you think the oven is not working properly there
are some simple checks you can carry out yourself
before calling an engineer. This will help prevent
unnecessary service calls if the fault is something
simple.
Follow this simple check below:
1. Does the oven lamp come on when you open
the door?
Place half a cup of water on the turntable and
close the door. Programme the oven to cook for 1
minute using 100% microwave power.
2. Does the oven lamp come on when it is
cooking?
3. Does the turntable rotate?
4. Does the cooling fan work? (Check by placing
your hand above the air vent openings.)
5. After 1 minute does the audible signal sound?
6. Is the water in the cup hot?
Take the cup of water out of the oven and close the
door.
Programme the oven to cook for 3 minutes using
the convection on 180
°C.
7. After 3 minutes, is the oven cavity hot?
If you answer “NO” to any question first check that
the oven is plugged in properly and the fuse has
not blown. If there is no fault with either, check
against the troubleshooting chart on the following
page.
NOTE:
• If you cook for a long time with only the same
cooking mode, the oven will lower the power
automatically to avoid overheating.
Check food is piping hot after cooking. If
necessary, you can extend the cooking time.
• The door seal stops microwave leakage during
oven operation, but does not form an airtight
seal. It is normal to see drops of water, light or
feel warm air around the oven door. Food with a
high moisture content will release steam and
cause condensation inside the door which may
drip from the oven.
• Repairs and Modifications: Do not attempt to
operate the oven if it is not working properly.
• Outer Cabinet: Never remove the outer cabinet.
This is very dangerous due to high voltage parts
inside which must never be touched, as this
could be fatal.
WARNING:
Never adjust, repair or modify the oven
yourself. It is hazardous for anyone
other than a SHARP trained engineer to
carry out servicing or any service or
repaire operation which involves the
removal of a cover which gives
protection against exposure to
microwave energy.

ANSWER
When the oven is working, air circulates within the cavity.
The door does not form an airtight seal so air may escape from the door.
The oven cavity will normally be colder than the food being cooked, and so steam
produced when cooking will condense on the colder surface.
The amount of steam produced depends on the water content of the food being
cooked. Some foods, such as potatoes have a high moisture content.
Condensation trapped in the door glass should clear after a few hours.
Arcing will occur when a metallic object comes into close proximity to the oven
cavity during cooking. This may possibly roughen the surface of the cavity, but
would not otherwise damage the oven.
Ensure all “eyes” are removed and the potatoes have been pierced, place
directly onto the turntable or in a heat resistant flan dish or similar.
Check the door is closed properly.
Ensure correct power level has been selected.
The microwave energy pulses ON and OFF during cooking/defrosting.
The cabinet may become warm to the touch - keep children away.
