1. Interval Drinks 

 
In the Theatre it is common to offer an Interval Drinks facility, this allows customers 

to order and pay for drinks at the beginning of the evening and pick them up during 
the interval at pre determined locations. This new function uses Floor/Area Settings 

which determine the Bar or area the drinks are to be collected and also a Tray 

Number which shows the exact location of the drinks in that Area. To realise this 
facility a new Function has been added to Venta.  

 

 

In order to achieve this function a new “MULTI” function has been added – Function 
84 (Extended Function). The function can be used by preceding its entry with a 

numeric value.  

 
As we are using the Advanced Function to achieve Interval Drinks, it will be 

necessary to set-up a number of Macros to control the feature. The settings are :- 
 

 

1 or 1.0 

Turn on pre-order mode with default floor (can also be used to change 
floor assignment of current transaction)

Turn on pre-order mode with floor n (can also be used to change floor 
assignment of current transaction) 

Turn Off  2 

Turn off pre-order mode 

3 or 3.0 

Print queued tickets for default floor

To sell Interval Drinks for the default floor/area the macro would be :- 1F84 

 

To sell Interval Drinks for floor2/area2 the macro would be :- 1.2F84 , which when 
viewed in Screen Macros will appear as 1D46,2F84, when entered as 1.2F84 

 
To view the next tray number on Floor 3 the macro would be :- 5.3F84 , which when 

viewed in Screen Macros will appear as 5D46,3F84

Also a number of settings have been added to the S2001.INI file for each POS, they 

allow the set-up of different kinds of Theatre configurations :-
