Training mode has now been changed. The current installs allow the POS to be set to allow two
servers to operate in Training Mode. This has now been changed; the Servers are now the focus
of Training Mode instead of the machine.
To set a Server for Training, set the individual server in VPM Servers.

To allow for better system resilience in the cases of actual POS failure where printers are
connected to the failed POS or for easier installation it is now possible to connect TCPIP printers
to the network. In Venta PRO V2 this is realised using settings in the S2001.INI file aswell as
special settings in VPM. For Venta PRO V3 these settings are contained in VPM alone.

For Venta PRO V2
In VPM printers should be set as normal, the only exception is that if IP printing is required the
printer “interface” should be set as parallel (parallel printing is no longer valid). If the setting is
made the application assumes that IP printing is valid.
Then is S2001.INI for the each machine the following settings should be made :-
:: =============IP Printing============
:
:: To enable IP Printing with S2004 in VPM set the printer interface
:: to be "PARALLEL" IN VPM. This will then set IP Printing. Then set
:: THE Printer type below and its IP Address
:
:: For Example RECEIPT=192.168.0.234 or BILL=192.168.0.44
:: KITCHEN1=193.10.10.234
