Menu
The Menu is the strip containing the names of the drop-down menus. Left click on
a name to alternately show and hide that menu.
File
– File Menu has two submenu, “Factory Reset” and “Exit”.
“Factory Reset” submenu reverses the software setting values to the original
ones. It resets LDN
(Logical Device Name) and “simple mode” settings for
each device and “Auto Enable After Event” Settings for some devices.
“Exit” submenu terminates the software.
View
View
– View Menu has two checkable submenu, “Toolbar” and “Status bar”
which determine whether they are visible or not.
Window
– Window Menu has four submenu for the “Device Modes” which
represents currently handled by the software. (see more section Toolbar)
Toolbar
The
Toolbar contains icons for the each “Device Modes”. It’s short-cut for Window
Menu. (see more section Menu, Window)

Basic Panel and Device Panel
The “Basic Panel” and the “Device Panel” display the interfaces for operation of
devices. “Device Panels” are only enabled when device are successfully opened. For
more detail, see section Basic Operation and each device’s section.

Status bar
The “Status bar” shows current date and time. It can be hidden by Menu – view.

Basic Operation
The Basic Operation is
all device’s common OPOS implementation. User can
operate it
on the “Basic Panel”. As the below
ClaimDevice(Method): Call this method to request exclusive access to the
device.
Close(Method): Called to release the device and its resources.
Open(Method): Call to open a device for subsequent I/O. The device name

specifies which of one or more devices supported by this software should
be used. The LDN must indicate exactly the Valcretec OPOS Service
Object 1.12.00.
ReleaseDevice(Method): Call this method to release exclusive access to
the device.
DeviceEnabled(Property): Set
“true” to make the device operational. It can
be set by
“Enable” button and “Disable” button on the “Basic panel”.
“Basic Panel” can be switched between Simple mode and Detail mode with “simple
mode” check box. Simple mode has two big button “Open” and “Close”. Open
mode” check box. Simple mode has two big button “Open” and “Close”. Open
Operation consists with Open, ClaimDevice, and DeviceEnabled=true and Close
Operation consists with DeviceEnabled=false, ReleaseDevice, and Close. In Detail
mode, user can operate each implementation step by step.
If Open is touched when the device is already opened an error "EIllegal(106)" will
display to show the device is already open.

Device Display Label: Display Currently working Device.
LDN: Select
the Device’s LDN.
Basic Button: Button represents one OPOS
method
or property. Generally OPOS Method except Close has “Return
Code” and “Result Code”. Close Method has return code only. If Basic
Button represents OPOS property it has “Result Code” only.
Button represents OPOS property it has “Result Code” only.
Clear Result
: “Clear Result Button” clear all “Return Code”
and “Result Code” of Basic Buttons.
