53. License Code Changes 
Q. If the License details have been set how do we change the settings.  

A. Enter into PGM1 mode and enter your license code you can then make 

changes to expiry date etc.

Q. Once “expiry license” appears what is the procedure to remedy this  

A. PGM 1 / License 

 
55. Service Charge On/Off 

Q. Is it possible to turn the Service Charge On and Off. 

A. You could create an Auto Key that would enter PGM2\Setting\Function\Servce 
Charge if the value is zero no service charge will be calculated.  

 
56. EXIT key for Auto Sequence 
Q. Where can the EXIT key be found, I would like to use this in an Auto Key 
sequence 

A. After selecting the Auto Key Sequence select Function Key and use code 633 
(under PGM&X/Z) 

 

57. Screen Limit for Clerks 
Q. Is it possible to limit the screen’s to prohibit entry by certain Clerks.  

A Yes, there is a setting “Screen limitation” in PGM\Personnel\Clerk page 3 this 

will prohibit a Clerk entering this screen or any higher

. 

 
58. Individual Person Payment  
Q. Can we use individual person entry for GLU 

A. Yes, there is the subset GLU codes available (987-D =4) this will allow 1.1 
table etc 

 

59. Recall Transactions 
Q. Is it possible to get access to all the Closed transactions (recall transaction) 

A. Yes, there is a setting 919B if this is set to 4 (not check) all the closed 

transactions from all Clerks will appear. 
 

60. Group Discounts 
Q. I would like to give a Group discount to all the PLU’s that are associated to 

Department 1. But when I set Department 1 to be Group Discount 1=Yes when I 
sell items that are linked to Department 1 and then press the Group Discount 
button I get the message “Amount is Zero or Negative Group Discount”. 

A. The group discount setting within department programming will only work 
with Department keys and not PLU’s associated with that Department. You must 

set each PLU to use Group Discount 1. This can be performed by range. 
 
 

61. PLU Menus 
Q. After selecting a product that is linked to a condiment table from within a PLU 
menu the PLU menu does not stay down even though I have set the Menu to 
Staydown. If I sell a PLU from within a PLU menu that is not linked to a 

Condiment list the PLU menu does staydown. Can this be changed. 

A. Yes, Instead of using PLU menu’s you need to use Screens 

 

62. GLU Print on BILL / GC Receipt 
Q. Why is the GLU number not printing on the Bill/GC Rcpt? 

A. Select Program 2 > Settings > Optional > Print Select 1 and change Table# 

Print Bill to YES. 
 

63. Master Reset 13974682 & 11111111 
Q. What is the difference between the two codes that can be used for the Master 

Reset 1. 

A. When using the 13974682 code any information relating to the License code 
will be deleted from the terminal, license details such as expiry date will NOT be 

deleted if using the 11111111 code. 
 

 

Q. Where can I set the text of the CCD denomination amounts from 1 CENT to 1 
PENCE. 

A. PGM2/SETTINGS/MEDIA/CURRENCY MONEY/MONEY1 text change.  
 

65. Plu Sales Report not showing any data 
Q. I have Centralized PLU sales data set and an IRC system but PLU sales report 
is blank? 

A. Ensure that  
 



  923 is set to 0010 



  The TLOG BUFFER on all satellites have at least 100 records set  



  The TLOG BUFFER on the master does not exist (Set to 0) 



  The PLU/EAN  sales file on the Master Exists (Page 3 of PLU/EAN) 



  The PLU/EAN  sales file on the slaves DO NOT exist (Page 3 of PLU/EAN) 

 

After checking these settings perform an IRC SETUP for all machines 
 
 

66. £ Symbol display in Receipt Window 
Q. How do I get the £ symbol to display in the receipt window? 

A. There is a setting at 986-D for the “Amount Symbol” display setting, please 
also refer to FAQ 2 on this guide. 

67. Individual Lines in Receipt Window  
Q. My receipt window is displaying 4 x PLU as one line of text,can I have it to 
display 4 individual lines instead?  

A. Yes, there is a setting in PGM/Setting/Optional/Display/Receipt window edit , 

please change this setting. 
 

Q. What is the maximum number of keys that can be set in the Function Bar 
area? 

A. There is a total of 99 keys. 

 

69. Price Level selection appears when using the ROOM feature 
Q. Is it possible to prevent the PRICE LEVEL SELECTION appearing when I open 
a new ROOM? 

A. There are a couple of things you could set, 1. Only use 1 Price Level for the 
PLU files then the selection will not appear, or 2. Create an AUTO Key in place of 
the ROOM key this would be ROOM, ENTER, this would then always select Price 

Level 1. 
 

Q. The error message Buffer Full is appearing when I am using the GLU feature. 

A. Please ensure the files are correctly set. 
1.  GLU example would be 100/1000 this would represent 100 tables with a total 

of 1000 individual lines of print stored. 

2.  REG Buffer this should be set at a minimum of 120, this will allow for up-to 

approximately 40 items in any one open transaction, if using ROOMS this 
buffer should be increased to 250 

 
 

71. Features with standard memory 
Q. How many features could I have with the standard memory. 

A. Assuming MRS features you could have the following configurations with the 
standard memory:- 
1.  Master terminal with 1500 PLU’s 40 Overlap Clerks and 200/3000 GLU records. 

(Pub Configuration) 

2.  Master terminal with 20000 PLU’s (1 Price band) 10 Clerks and 60 Promotion 

Tables (Small Retail). 

3.  Master terminal with 10000 PLU’s (1 Price band) 10 Clerks and 60 Promotion  

     Tables and 2000 Customer accounts (Small Retail). 
4.  Master terminal with 27000 PLU’s (1 Price band) 10 Clerks. 
The amount of individual features depends on other features being allocated 

 
 

Q. What does the "Second KP" setting within Device config - KP 1 - relate to? 

A. If KP 1 is unavailable you will be prompted on the screen to Retry or Abort if 
you choose Abort then the KP job will be printed on the KP that is referenced by 
the "Second KP" setting 

 
 
73. C.BILL 
Q. When using C.BILL the receipt prints as ALL FOOD & DRINK, can this be 

changed? 

A. Yes, this can be changed in PGM2 > SETTING > TEXT > FUNCTION TEXT and 
Items 157 and 158. 

 
 
74. Drawer opening when taking X reports 
Q. Can the drawer be set not to open when taking X1 or X2 reports? 

A. Yes, Select PGM2 > Setting > Optional > Function Prohibit > Page 2 

 
 
75. Compulsory Covers / Guests 
Q. Can you enable compulsory covers or guests when a GLU is opened

.

 

A. Yes - Set line 919B= 2 or 3 or 6 or 7 

 
76. Condiments 

Q. When splitting an item that contains condiments with the original Hosp demo 
program, only the last item of the condiment chain is displayed in the BS receive 
window. 

A. This is due to corruption in the condiment file. Delete the condiment file and 

recreate it.
