It is possible to changed the default beeper pitch to a preferred level, 
The Windows volume control is used to adjust the volume levels.

The default beep pitch for the Sharp POS Software is 2000Hz. The range can be 

set between 0 – 2150 Hz. 
 
To change from the default pitch, the following setting can be added to the 

C:\VPro\data\Till001\S2001.ini file on each machine, e.g. 
BEEPPITCH=1000 
 
To turn off the beeper, set the following. 

BEEPPITCH=0

When  upgrading  from  Version  3  to  Version 4  it  is  a  simple  matter  of  restoring 
either an SQL backup or a complete backup previously created on VPM V3 into 
the new VPM V4.

To  allow  for  greater  flexibility,  the  screen  mode  area  within  VPM  now  includes 
the following enhancements. 
 
1. 

It is now possible to assign a large list area to the logged off screen. This 

will allow a large number of Servers to be assigned for the purpose of sign 
on.  This  list  can  also  include  other  functions  including  ‘Time  and 
attendance’. 

 
2. 

When the Large list screen style is used as the logged off screen, A new 
area  is  displayed  that  shows  the  payment  details  of  the  last  order.  I.e. 

Sales Total, Amount tendered and the change due. 

 
3. 

When the Large list screen style is used as the logged off screen, A new 
button  ‘Receipt’  is  included  on  the  bottom  bar.  This  ‘Receipt’  button  will 

reprint  the  last  transaction  whether  it  was  a  ‘Bar’  or  ‘Table’  transaction 
performed on this POS. 

 

4. 

A  ‘Payment  list’  can  now  be  specified  from  within  screen  modes  and 
assigned to the ‘Function Key Payment Area’.  This allows a ‘Standard list 
area’  to  be  assigned  to  the  Function  key  payment  Area.  On  previous 
versions this was only possible with the use of a subtotal macro.
