This manual provides reference information for programming devices used by the OPOS 1.12.0
 
 
Who should read this manual
 
 
This manual is intended for use by POS(Point of Sales) application programmers who choose to 
use the POS hardware, and the OPOS 1.12.0 Subsystem on the Microsoft Windows operating 
system. 
 
How to use this manual
 
 
Section 1 contains references to related documents, including hardware, software, and 
industry specifications. 
Section 2 contains how to use 
‘OPOS Settings’.

Introduction
 
 
The purpose of the OLE for Retail Point of Sale Subsystem is to provide and open standards 
interface for hardware in a Microsoft Windows based system. 
 
 
System Requirements
 
 
This section describes the hardware and software that are required for the OLE for Retail Point of 
Sale Subsystem. 
 
 
Hardware Environments
 
 
OPOS supports the following hardware: 
 
Cash Drawer 
It supports all Cash Drawer that have 3 Pin Connector, 19~24V DC Solenoid Interface. 
Sharp Product : ER-03DW / ER-04DW / ER-05DW etc. 
 
Barcode Scanner 
It supports all Barcode Scanner that have Serial(RS-232C) Interface, 5V/12V(which can supply 
internal electricity supply). 
Datalogic Product : Firescan, Heron-G, Touch65, Gryphon, Magellan Series etc. 
Metrologic Product : MS-5145. 
※  Other interface type (PS2, USB etc) can access directly without using OPOS Driver
※  OPOS Driver which scanner manufacturer offers can also be used.   
 
Line Display 
It supports VFD(Vacuum Fluorescent Display Module) Line Display that have Serial(RS-232C) 
Interface, 5V/12V(which can supply internal electricity supply).
