MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
Set Training Mode On / Off
TRAINING OVERVIEW
There are two server numbers which are reserved especially for training; 888 and 999.  These
numbers should be used so that you can instruct staff during an open session.  By using the
reserved server numbers, the other servers can continue to trade whilst the trainee servers
train on the same terminal.  The terminal will show the  letter “T” at the top right-hand side of
the operator display to indicate that the terminal is in training mode.
Trading reports (bills, receipts and so on) for  the training server numbers will be marked as
TRAINING.  All sales will be recorded as training transactions and will not affect the daily sales
information.  Training totals are shown on the terminal and site reports.
SET TRAINING MODE ON/OFF
The training option displayed on the menu will toggle between ON and OFF.  To select the
training mode on a terminal, simply select the Set Training Mode On option from the  Main
Menu.  When you have completed the training, select the Set Training Mode Off option.

MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
Delete Spool Files
OVERVIEW
The system stores all report information in spool files until the relevant printer is accessible.
This includes all  printer types; audit, dispense, receipt and bill.  In the  unlikely event of a
printer being out of use, the spool files for that printer will accumulate.  This facility provides a
way of removing the spool files from the  terminal.  Failure to do so will result in disk space
being used unnecessarily.
NOTE:
If a printer is unavailable for use, you should change the parameters set for the
terminal so that the printing is directed to another device.
DELETING SPOOL FILES
NOTE:
This option is available on all terminals and should not be used whilst other
terminals are trading.
Use the down arrow button to move the  cursor to the Delete Spool Files
option on the Main Menu.
ENTER
Press ENTER to select the function.  All spool files currently stored on the
terminal will be deleted.
NOTE:
If the available disk space on a terminal falls below 20k, warning messages are
displayed when a new transaction is started or when Trading is selected from
the Main Menu.  You should delete the spool files at the earliest convenience.
Failure to do so will result in the terminal eventually running out of disk space
and the system will stop operating.
