CONNECTION OF THE POWER SUPPLY TERMINAL
OF THE VCC_CORE OF THE CHIP SET.
1.Model Name:

2.General:
The VCC_CORE power supply terminal (K5, H25, AB19) of the chip set FireStar
(VHI82C700//-1) was not connected properly. As a measure to alleviate this problem,
a wire was used to properly connect the terminal.

3.Phenomenon:
A mis-operation occurred in the chip set FireStar (VHI82C700//-1). As a result, the
machine failed to boot up.

4.Cause:
The VCC_CORE power supply terminal (K5, H25, AB19) of the chip set FireStar
(VHI82C700//-1) was not connected properly to the CPU PWB.

Connection by wire has been carried out from 1998 March production.

C27 “+” side solder land (FB 22 side) and the
C29 solder land (the side with the C29 silk
screened mark).
