If after taking a Start of Day, an End of Day is taken immediately, without the session
being opened and closed, the Product Sales File can become invalid. The fix stops this
from occurring.

In Version 3.1.208 we added a line in RINCS.CFG EFTCHANMAX=10, this should have
been EFTMAXCHAN=10. This was to allow the use of other NON-Sharp nodes on the
network to access and use the Commidea EFT Server. However it seems problems can
arise when installing an EFT server if EFTMAXCHAN is not set to the number of EPOS
terminals quoted to Commidea prior to them issuing the software. In future after ordering
a system with 5 EPOS Terminals from Commidea set EFTMAXCHAN to 5 also, this will
stop any “Licence” problems.
As the time taken for the bank to respond to an EFT request may be delayed, it is possible
for the EPOS Terminal to time out, this can lead to EFT transactions being accepted at
the Bank but not at the POS. To alleviate the problem when a timeout is received it is now
possible to RETRY the EFT Server.

This setting creates the correct number of EFT Channels available to the
POS System, the REM should be removed and the value set to the number
of tills in Commidea, if another Application on site is using the same EFT
Server ( Guestmaster or any PMS like software), this may need adjusting.
