ER-01PU

The addition of a sheet has been carried out to the near end sensor unit, which is
established as a service rout option for model ER-01PU. This action has been carried

out as a measure to stabilize the remaining supply volume of paper.

There was a possibility of variance occurring in the remaining supply volume of paper
(the standard value is a maximum of 4 m for less than 2 m) due to variance in the
dimensions of the parts which comprise the near end sensor unit. As a measure to

alleviate this problem, the addition of a sheet has been carried out to the portion of the
machine where the supply paper is set so that the remaining supply volume of paper is

less than 2 m even if variance occurs in the dimensions of the parts.

When a near end sensor unit (DUNT-5800BHZZ) which was shipped to the parts center
before April of 1998 is loaded in model ER-01PU, the sensor sheet should be procured
and attached. (The part code for the sensor sheet is PSHEP6870BHZZ).

For production:
From 1998 May production (those models which were produced as a service route
option).
