If the paper roll on the receipt side was loaded into the printer in a diagonal, or leaning
state, there was a possibility of receipt paper jams occurring due to the receipt paper

coming in contact with the journal (receipt) filter when the receipt paper was discharged.
As a measure to alleviate this problem, a temporary action has been carried out from

1998 April production until 1998 July production, but now a change has been carried
out and a permanent action has been carried out from 1998 August production.

An increase has been carried out in the dimensions of the opening of the journal
(receipt) filter (the receipt paper discharge opening). Please refer to the chart shown
below for information concerning the dimensions of the first opening, the opening used

for the temporary action, and the opening for the permanent action.
