It is possible that misprinting can occur.

For the printer:

In case the fixing position of the type wheel motor back stop claw is less than 1mm, 

Against thise problem, the fixing position of the type wheel motor back stop claw will

be set for more than 1.2mm.  (The best value is 1.5mm

±

 0.1mm.)

This adjusting position is not basically included in the market service adjustment.

For the CPU:

Though our countermeasures will be enough with the adjustment of the printer, a

step phase at the type wheel motor startup will be added for further margin.

The parts code will be changed in compliance with the control software changed.

production.

((Description))

1) Printers: The parts codes remain unchanged with interchangeability.

2) CPU:

The parts codes will be changed in compliance with the version change 

to be executed from the Feb. production in 1997.

Interchangeability: The new are usable in place of the old.

The old are unusable in place of the new.

1) The confirmation of the type wheel motor back stop claw fixing position and the

resetting operation were performed as the market service, but some of the products

had already been shipped to remain unconfirmed.

Exchange the printers at an occurrence of the problem by the following distinctions.

The unconfirmed printers (ECR) count 649 units, which can be distinguished with

the XX number showing 02 or 02
