SPECIAL NOTE FOR USERS IN THE U.K.
The mains lead of this product is fitted with a non-rewireable (moulded) plug incorporating a 3A (amp) fuse. Should the fuse need to be
replaced, a BSI or ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse marked or and of the same rating as above, which is also indicated on the pin face of
the plug, must be used. Always refit the fuse cover after replacing the fuse. Never use the plug without the fuse cover fitted. In the unlikely
event of the socket outlet in your home not being compatible with the plug supplied, cut-off the mains plug and fit an appropriate type.
DANGER: The fuse from the cut-off plug should be removed and the cut-off plug destroyed immediately and disposed of in a safe manner.
Under no circumstances should the cut-off plug be inserted elsewhere into a 13A socket outlet, as a serious electric shock may
occur.
To fit an appropriate plug to the mains lead, follow the instructions below:

Blue: Neutral

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this product may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
- The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the plug terminal which is marked N or coloured black.
- The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the plug terminal which is marked L or coloured red.
Ensure that neither the brown nor the blue wire is connected to the earth terminal in your three-pin plug.
Before replacing the plug cover make sure that:
- If the new fitted plug contains a fuse, its value is the same as that removed from the cut-off plug.
- The cord grip is clamped over the sheath of the mains lead and not simply over the lead wires.

TERMS OF GUARANTEE
Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd. (“Sharp”) guarantees to provide for the repair, or at its option the replacement, of
this product subject to the conditions listed below:-
1. This guarantee shall only apply to faults which are due to inferior workmanship or materials. It does not cover
faults or damage caused by accident, misuse, fair wear and tear, neglect, tampering with the product, or
repair other than by a Service Facility appointed by Sharp.
2. As this product is intended for private domestic use only, the guarantee will not apply if the product is used in
the course of a business, trade or profession.
3. To benefi t from this guarantee, any fault which occurs must be notifi ed to Sharp, or its appointed Service
Facility within one year from the date this product was purchased. Proof of purchase must be provided.
4. The guarantee does not cover carriage costs.
5. In the unlikely event of this product requiring repair, please contact the supplier from whom it was purchased.
Where this is not possible, please contact the Sharp Customer Information Centre on the telephone number
given below.
6. No person has any authority to vary the terms or conditions of this guarantee.
7. This guarantee is offered as an additional benefi t to your statutory rights, and does not affect these rights in
any way.

• The CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT label is located
on the rear cover.
• This product contains a low power laser device. To
ensure continued safety do not remove any cover
or attempt to gain access to the inside of the
product. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
Note:
This Player can be used only where the power
supply is AC 100–240V, 50/60Hz. It cannot be
used elsewhere.
Power Cord Protection
To avoid any malfunctions of the Player, and to
protect against electric shock, fire or personal
injury, please observe the following.
• Hold the plug firmly when connecting or
disconnecting the AC power cord.
• Keep the AC power cord away from heating
appliances.
• Never put any heavy object on the AC power
cord.
• Do not attempt to repair or reconstruct the AC
power cord in any way.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Electricity is used to perform many useful functions, but it can also cause personal
injuries and property damage if improperly handled. This product has been engineered
and manufactured with the highest priority on safety. However, improper use can result
in electric shock and/or fire. In order to prevent potential danger, please observe the
following instructions when installing, operating and cleaning the product. To ensure
your safety and prolong the service life of your Blu-ray Disc/DVD Player, please read the
following precautions carefully before using the product.
1) Read these instructions.
2) Keep these instructions.

4) Follow all instructions.
5) Do not use this apparatus near water.
6) Clean only with dry cloth.
7) Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
10) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
11) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when
moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
12) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of
time.
13) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required
when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-
supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have
fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
Additional Safety Information
14) Power Sources—This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For
products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the
operating instructions.
15) Overloading—Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience
receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
16) Object and Liquid Entry—Never push objects of any kind into this product through
openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could
result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.
17) Damage Requiring Service—Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
a) When the AC cord or plug is damaged,
b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product,
c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water,
d) If the product does not operate normally by following the operating
instructions.
Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as
an improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to its
normal operation,
e) If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way, and
f) When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance - this indicates a
need for service.
18) Replacement Parts—When replacement parts are required, be sure the service
technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the
same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorised substitutions may result in
fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
19) Safety Check—Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the
service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in
proper operating condition.
20) The main AC plug is used as disconnect device and shall always remain readily
operable.
