Use Windows Media Player to delete audio data stored
on the unit.

Caution:
A WMPInfo.xml file and files with extensions of .TBL and
.LMM are created automatically. Never edit, move or
delete these files since they are necessary for the unit
and Windows Media Player.

Connect the unit to a PC (see page 11).

Launch Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player 9 Series:
Click "Copy to CD or Device" on the taskbar.
 
Windows Media Player 10:
Click "Sync" on the taskbar.

Select the drive letter of the unit from the drop-
down list.

Select audio data and delete it.

Disconnecting the unit

Windows 98 Second Edition

Click "Safely remove hardware" on the taskbar.

Click "Safely remove USB Mass Storage Device -
Drives(*:)".

"Safely remove hardware" appears. Click the "OK"
button and disconnect the USB cable from the PC.

Windows Millennium Edition

Click "Unplug or Eject Hardware" on the taskbar.

Click "Stop USB Disk - Drive(*:)".

"Safe To Remove Hardware" appears. Click the "OK"
button and disconnect the USB cable from the PC.

Click "Unplug or Eject Hardware" on the taskbar.

button and disconnect the USB cable from the PC.

still remains on the unit (the display changes when you
disconnect the USB cable).

If you cannot cancel the USB connection, try again or
restart the PC.
Make sure to exit Windows Media Player before discon-
necting the USB cable.

You can also play audio data stored and arranged in fold-
ers created by using Windows Media Player.

Playing transferred audio data (continued)
To interrupt playback:
Press the 
 button.
To resume playback, press the 
 button again.
To stop playback:
Hold down the 
 button for 0.5 seconds or more.
When you press the 
 button again, the last played
audio data plays from the beginning.
Resume play:
When you turn off the unit and turn it back on, playback
starts from the beginning of the audio data which was
stopped.
When listening to the FM radio or data recorded with 
the unit, you can listen to all the transferred audio 
data as follows:

Hold down the menu button for 0.5 seconds or more.
Hold down the menu button for 0.5 seconds or more 
to return to the play mode.

Within 10 seconds, move the menu button toward 
 
or 
 to select "SOUND", and press it.
 
3
Within 10 seconds, move the menu button toward + 
or - to select "MUSIC", and press it.
Playback starts automatically.
