5.2.2.
IC3 (ASIC)
• EC bus interface
Independent bus for 16bit/8MHz two-way address data multiplex.
• CT bus interface
Supports eight 8.192MHz highways (128 time slots).
• Local TSW
Exchanges the time slots between CT bus (1024ch) and local highway (64ch).
• Local highway interface
Accommodates 2.048, 4.096, and 8.192MHz highways (Up to 64 time slots).
• Local gain control
Controls the gain of the local highway up-and-down 64ch in 1db step arbitrarily.

• CODEC interface
Can connect up to 12 Infineon-manufactured PEB3265, and is intended for enabling the line control.
• GPIO interface
Parallel interface that is arbitrarily programmable bidirectionally.
5.2.3.
CODEC Function (IC201A-X)
Infineon PEB3265 CODEC is installed. The analogue features such as BN, frequency characteristic, volume level, sidetone are
configured by FPGA CODEC interface DCLK, CS, DOUT, DIN. Also, it converts A/D to D/A, and 4-line-analogue signal to PCM
code in G.711 format.

5.2.4.
2W-4W Conversion
It converts 4W-VOX signal used in the PBX to 2W-VOX signal used in SLT, and vice versa. It consists of an operational amplifier in
the SLIC and a balanced network (B/N) in the CODEC. It can control the return loss of the audio data and frequency characteristics.
By modifying the CODEC program, it can match the corresponding impedance.

5.2.5.
DTMF Signal Detection
Each port has its own DTMF receiver in the codec.
Detection of DTMF signal by Codec transmits this data to the MPR via the FPGA.
Via the FPGA, MPR reads the DTMF signal which is received in the Codec.

Power Supply
Voltage and current generated by the SLIC is supplied to the phones.
Preset voltage is -26V, but is switched over to -45V for ports 1-8, depending on circuit distance.
Current is set as 26mA.

5.2.7.
Dial Pulse Detection
When a telephone initiates pulse dialing, this feature detects the pulse-dialing signal.
When the telephone initiates dialing, changes in voltage is detected in SLIC, and this information is transmitted to the ITA/ITB pin of
SLIC (27, 36pin) as Make=L/Break=H signal. This digital signal is received by CODEC IC and recognized as dialing signal. Both
10pps and 20pps can be received. The dialing speed is analyzed by software.
