Subject: Notes for disassembling and reassembling of Hopper Plate Assembly
Model: KV-S5076H/S5046H

Disassembling Note:
Be sure to operate the below steps to prevent to stretch Paper Sensor Cable before Step 3 of disassembling for
Hopper Plate Assembly in Service Manual.

1- Remove the earth cable from Main Chassis L Assy.
2- Remove the connector of Paper Sensor Cable from USR RELAY Board.
3- Release the batch of the cables from 2 clampers.
Reassembling Note:
1- Pass Paper Sensor Cable through the hole A in step 6 of disassembling for Hopper Plate Assembly in
Service Manual.

Be sure to operate the below steps after step 3 of disassembling for Hopper Plate Assembly in Service Manual.
2- Fix the earth cable to Main Chassis L Assy.
3- Insert the connector of Paper Sensor Cable to USR RELAY Board.
4- Put Paper Sensor Cable on the top of the batch of the cables and push the loosened Paper Sensor Cable
into the hole A, when wiring the cables.
5- Hold the batch of the cables with 2 clampers.

8.5.14. Hopper Plate Assembly
1. Remove the Double-feed Prevention Roller. (See 8.5.13.)
2. Remove the Hopper Motor. (See 8.5.9.)
3. Remove 2 screws and release 3 claws and remove
Hopper Base cover.
4. While releasing the 3 claws on the bottom of Hopper Plate
Assembly and pushing down the top of the Gate, pull and
remove the assembly forward.

(1) While pull the Hopper Plate Assembly forward, release
the 3 claws (Claw1).
(2) While pull the Hopper Plate Assembly upward, release
the 2 hooks to remove the assembly.
5. Lift up the Hopper plate.

8.5.15. Paper Sensor
6. Unhook the 2 hooks of Hopper Plate.
1. Remove the Hopper Plate. (See 8.5.14.)
2. Remove the 2 screws to release the Paper Sensor with plate
from the Hopper Plate Assembly.
3. Remove the screw to separate the sensor from the plate, and
then disconnect the Connector.
