2 “SECTION 1 GENERAL PRECAUTIONS”
2.1.
“Section 1.5  Standard for Repair Service”
Repair service shall be provided in accordance with repair technology information such as service manual
so as to prevent fires, injury or electric shock, which can be caused by improper repair work.
1. When performing repairs, neither the product nor its parts or components shall be modified.
2. If cable assembly is supplied as the smallest unit when servicing, make sure to replace
the cable assembly.

5 “SECTION 8 DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS”
5.1.
“Section 8.3 Mechanical Block”
5.1.1.
“Section 8.3.5 Optical Unit (F)” 
    (1) Remove the Rear Cover. (See 8.2.5.)
    (2) Remove the CONTROL Board. (See 8.4.4.)
    (3) Release the connector cables from the clamps inside and 
         outside of the Base Plate.
    (4) Remove the 5 screws and the screw with the FG cable.
    (5) Remove the Base Plate, paying attention to the contact
         between the cables and the plate edge.
    (6) Remove the Ground (Earth) Plate 2.
    (7) Release the cable from the clamp, and disconnect the CCD
         Board (F) connector.
    (8) Remove the 2 screws.
   (9) Remove the Optical Unit Covers FL and FR.
        (Only for Product Version B or later)
