White spots on LCD
Symptom
:
White spots are seen at the top right corner of LCD
Cause
:
Peel-off of LCD cover from LCD unit
The following problems (a) (b) were found from the products produced before the end of Nov 2014.
(a) Size of rear case was made relatively larger than targeted one
(b) Edge of the top right corner of LCD window on rear case was rough
(b) Edge of the top right corner of LCD window on rear case was rough
Larger rear case (a) causes mechanical stress and zero gap between LCD unit and
rear case at the top right corner of LCD when a screw at tripod mount is tightened up.
Under this situation, if the grip area is pressed down, rough edge (b) can peel
the LCD unit off its cover.

Countermeasure :
1. Scraping the rough edge by a metic tool like tweezer
2. Adding spacer to tripod mount to prevent the stress at the top right corner of LCD

The defect can happen from products having the following serial no.:
If the defect happens in the market, please use "LCD UNIT SERVICE KIT"
for LCD unit replacement.
