5. Adjustment Procedure
8
Refer to the Location of Test Points and Adjusting Con-
trols on the page 6.
(1) +10V Confirmation
Test Point:
Pin 5 of CN1 (+10V)
Video Board
8
Connect the Digital Voltmeter to Pin 5 of CN1.
8
Confirm that the Voltage at pin 5 of CN1 should be within
10.0 V ± 0.5 V.
(2) +5V Confirmation
Test Point:
+Polarity of C9 (+5V)
Video Board
8
Connect the Digital Voltmeter to + polarity of C9.
8
Confirm that the Voltage at + polarity of C9 should be
within 5.0 V ± 0.5 V.
(3) V
SUB
Adjustment
Test Point:
TP4 (IRIS SIG)
Video Board
Adjust:
VR1 (V
SUB
)
Video Board
8
Aim the Camera at the Logarithmic Gray Scale Chart.
8
Connect the Oscilloscope to TP4.
8
Set the Lens Iris so that the signal level at TP4 becomes
approximately 1 750 mV as shown in Fig.5-1.

(4) Pedestal and Video Output Adjustment
Test Point:
CN4 (Video Output Connector)Video Board
Adjusts:
VR3 (PEDESTAL)

VR4 (VIDEO OUTPUT)
Video Board
8
Aim the Camera at the Logarithmic Gray Scale Chart.
8
Connect the Oscilloscope terminated with 75
to CN4.
8
Cap on the Lens.
8
Adjust VR3 so that the Pedestal signal level becomes
50 mV ± 10 mV as shown in Fig.5-3.
50 mV
±
 10 mV
Fig. 5-3
8
Remove the Cap from the Lens.
8
Adjust VR4 so that the Video signal level becomes
700 mV ± 30 mV as shown in Fig. 5-4.
(5) ELC Level Adjustment
Test Point:
TP4 (IRIS SIG)
Video Board
Adjust:
VR5 (ELC LEVEL)
Video Board
8
Set the Automatic Light Control/Electronic Light Control
Selector (on the Video Board SW1) to ELC position.
8
Aim the Camera at the Logarithmic Gray Scale Chart .
8
Connect the Oscilloscope to TP4.
8
While closing slowly the Lens Iris from Iris open (F1.4),
adjust VR5 so that the signal level at TP4 changes
between Ground level and 500 mV DC alternately.
700 mV
±
 30 mV
Fig. 5-4
8
Confirm that the ELC Function activates smoothly when
putting on and taking off the Lens Cap.
Fig. 5-2
8
Set the Lens Iris to standard specified level.
Fig. 5-1
8
Adjust VR1 so that the maximum luminance section (11th
portion of the Gray Scale Chart) of the signal at TP4  sat-
urates at 1 500 mV ± 100 mV as shown in Fig.5-2.
If can not reach to the specified level, while changing
(opening) the Lens Iris, adjust VR1 to the point where
only the 11th portion saturates.
– 5 –
8
Adjust VR2 so that the Video signal level becomes
700 mV ± 30 mV as shown in Fig. 5-5.
(6) ALC Level Adjustment
Test Point:
CN4 (Video Output Connector)Video Board
Adjust:
VR2 (ALC LEVEL)
Video Board
8
Mount the ALC Lens (WV-LA9C3) on the Camera.
8
Set the Automatic Light Control/Electronic Light Control
Selector (on the Video Board SW1) to ALC position.
8
Aim the Camera at the Logarithmic Gray Scale Chart .
8
Connect the Oscilloscope to CN4.

Adjust:
Flange-back Adjusting Ring
8
Set the Radiation Chart.
8
Incident light of 500 lx on the Radiation Chart.
8
Aim the Camera at the Radiation Chart distance of 10m.
8
Mount ND8 Filter(1 pc.) and ND2 Filter(1 pc.) on the
Lens.
8
Referring to Fig. 5-6, loosen the Focus Fixing screw
(LOCK) that secure the Flange-back Adjusting Ring.
