1 DVD Optical Pickup Self-Diagnostic & Replacement
Procedure (Correction)
1.1. Background
The checking procedure for laser drive current in Section 13.1 of the original service manual for the mentioned models needs to
be revised due to mistakes.
Below is the correct procedure for the checking of laser drive current: -
1) Press & hold “STOP” button on the player followed pressing the “FUNCTIONS” button on the remote control unit.
Special note: FL display for the mentioned models is separated into 2 pages (display 1 & display 2). “FL DISPLAY” button on the
remote control unit can be used to view display 1 or display 2 respectively.
