5-1-1. WASH TIMER REPLACEMENT
1. Pull out knob for the timer.
2. Disconnect the lead wires of the timer. (fig. 6)
3. Unscrew and remove the screws fastenning
the timer and remove the timer. (fig. 7)
To assemble the timer to the panel, reverse the
above disassembly procedure.
5-1-2. DRAIN SELECT ARM REPLACEMENT
1. Pull out knob for the drain selector.
2. Disconnet the plunger  valve strap from the
drain select arm. (fig. 8)
3. Lift the drain select arm in the direction of the
arrow and at the same time rotate the drain
select  arm in the direction of the white arrow
until the hook of the drain select  arm matches
the groove of the panel. (fig. 9)
5-2. NOZZLE CASE REPLACEMENT
After removing the panel assembly, refer to the figure
and proceed as follows:
(1) Unscrew and remove the screws fastening the
nozzle case.
(2) Pull out the nozzle case. (fig. 10)

5-3. WASHING TUB ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
After removing the panel assembly, the nozzle case,
the back cover, refer to the figure and proceed as
follows :
(1) Disconnect the drain hose from the outcase
hall.
(2) Remove the V-belt  from the pulsator pulley
and motor pulley. (fig. 11)
(3) Unscrew and remove the screws fastening
tub. (fig. 12)
(4) Pull out the washing tub assembly. (fig. 13)
To assemble the washing tub assembly to the out
case assembly, reverse the above disassembly
procedure.
5-4. BASE AND WASH MOTOR
ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
After removing the panel assembly, the nozzle case,
the figure and proceed as follows :
(1) Disconnect the plunger  valve strap from the
rod.
(2) Disconnect the lead wires.
(3) Lay the washing machine on its front side on a
blanket or carboard.
(4) Unscrew  and remove the screws fastening
the base and remove the base. (fig. 14)
(5) Uncrew and remove the screws and the
washes, remove the wash motor and remove
the wash motor damper. (fig. 15)
(6) Loosen the socket bolt of the motor pulley
assembly and pull up the motor pulley
assembly from the motor. (fig. 16)
To assemble the base and the wash motor reverse
the above disassembly procedure.

5-5. GEAR CASE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
After removing the base, refer to the figure and
proceed as follows :
(1) Open the wash cover
(2) Unscrew the pulsator fixing screw and remove
the pulsator. (fig. 17)
(3) Unscrew the pulsator pulley fixing bolt and
revolve the pulsator  pulley. (fig. 18)
(4) Unscrew and remove the screws fastening the
gear case assembly at the tub. (fig. 19)
To assemble the gear case, reverse the above
disassembly procedure.
NOTE
Don’t disassemble three screws fixing the gear
case. Check the assembled condition of the
pulsator packing at the tub hole when you
assembled the gear case assembly. (fig. 20)
5-6. PLUNGER VALVE ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
After removing the back cover and setting the knob
for the drain selector to “WASH RINSE”, refer to the
figure and proceed as follows:
(1) Disconnect the plunger valve strap from the
rod. (fig. 21)
(2) Unscrew the plunger valve cover in the
direction of the arrow. (fig. 22)

(3) Remove the plunger valve cover, the plunger
valve spring, the plunger valve rod and the
pluger valve bellows.
To assemble the gear case, reverse the above
disassembly procedure.
NOTE
Damage to the plunger valve cover may cause
water leakage.
When replacing the plunger valve assembly, take
care not to cause water leakage.
6.EXAMINATION AFTER
REPAIRING
After repairing, perform the trial test and check the
following points.
(1) Measure the insulation resistance. It should be
more than 10M 
(2) This washing machine must be properly
grounded for safety.
(3) Check to make sure that there is no water
leakage form any of the connections.
