ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTION
1. Application Range
This  spec  sheet  is  applied  all  of  the  LCD  TV  with  LJ23E/J 
chassis.
2. Specification
(1)  The  adjustment  is  according  to  the  order  which  is 
designated  and  which  must  be  followed,  according  to  the 
plan which can be changed only on agreeing
(2)  Power adjustment : Free Voltage
(3)  Magnetic Field Condition: Nil.
(4)  Input signal Unit: Product Specification Standard.
(5) Reserve after operation: Above 5 Minutes (Heat Run)
     Temperature : at 25 ºC ±5 ºC
     Relative humidity : 65 ±10%
     Input voltage : 100~220V, 50/60Hz
(6)  Adjustment  equipments  :  Color  Analyzer  (CA-210  or 
CA-110), SVC remote controller
(7) Push The “IN STOP KEY” – For memory initialization
3. Main PCB check process 
3.1. PCB Assembly Adjustment
(1) ADC adjustment: Component 480i, 1080p / RGB-PC 1080p
(2) EDID downloads for HDMI and RGB-PC
(3) MAC Address / ESN / Widevine Download
 ※ Remark
-  Above  adjustment  items  can  be  also  performed  in  Final 
Assembly  if  needed. Adjustment  items  in  both  PCBA  and 
final assembly stages can be checked by using the INSTART 
Menu -> 1.ADJUST CHECK
 
3.2. Final Assembly adjustment
(1) White Balance adjustment
(2) RS-232C functionality check
(3) Factory Option setting per destination
(4) Shipment mode setting (IN-STOP)
(5) GND and HI-POT test
* After downloading, have to adjust TOOL OPTION again.
1. Push "IN-START" key in service remote controller.
2. Select "Tool Option 1" and Push “OK” button.
3.  Punch  in  the  number.  (Each  of  models  has  their  number.)  
[See the BOM]
4. Completed selecting Tool option.

Case1 : Software version up
1)  After  downloading  S/W  by  USB  ,  TV  set  will  reboot 
automatically
2) Push “In-stop” key
3) Push “Power on” key
4) Function inspection
5) After function inspection, Push “In-stop” key.
Case2 : Function check at the assembly line
1)  When  TV  set  is  entering  on  the  assembly  line,  Push 
“In-stop” key at first.
2) Push “Power on” key for turning it on.
 =>  If you push “Power on” key, TV set will recover channel 
information by itself.
3).After function inspection, Push “In-stop” key.

3.4 Function Check
3.4.1 Check display and sound 
■ Check Input and Signal items. (cf. work instructions) 
(1) TV
(2) AV (CVBS)
(3) COMPONENT (480i)
(4) RGB (PC : 1024 x 768 @ 60hz)
(5) HDMI
(6) PC Audio In 
* Display and Sound check is executed by Remote controller.
=> Caution :  Not to push the INSTOP KEY after completion if 
the function inspection.
3.5. EDID/DDC Download 
3.5.1 Overview
It is a VESA regulation. A PC or a MNT will display an optimal 
resolution through information sharing without any necessity of 
user input. It is a realization of “Plug and Play”.
3.5.2 Equipment
▪ Adjust remocon.
▪  Since  embedded  EDID  data  is  used,  EDID  download  JIG, 
HDMI cable and D-sub cable are not need
3.5.3 Download method
1) Press Adj. key on the Adj. R/C,
2) Select EDID D/L menu.
3) By pressing Enter key, EDID download will begin
4)  If Download is successful, OK is display, but If Download is 
failure, NG is displayed.
5) If Download is failure, Re-try downloads.
Caution)  When  EDID  Download,  must  remove  RGB/HDMI 
Cable.
3.6.  MAC Address,  ESN  Key  and  Widevine 
Key download 
3.6.1. Equipment & Condition
1) Play file: keydownload.exe
3.6.2. Communication Port connection
1) Key Write: Com 1,2,3,4 and 115200 (Baudrate)
2) Barcode: Com 1,2,3,4 and 9600 (Baudrate)
3.6.3. Download process
1) Select the download items.
2) Mode check: Online Only
3) Check the test process
-   DETECT  ->  MAC_WRITE  ->  ESN_WRITE  ->  WIDEVINE_
WRITE
4) Play : START
5) Check of result: Ready, Test, OK or NG
3.6.4. Communication Port connection
1)  Connect:  PCBA  Jig  ->  RS-232C  Port  ==  PC  ->  RS-232C

3.7. LAN port Inspection (Ping Test)
3.7.1. Equipment setting
1) Play the LAN Port Test PROGRAM.
2) Input IP set up for an inspection to Test 
    Program.
    *IP Number : 12.12.2.2.
3.7.2. LAN PORT inspection  (PING TEST)
1) Play the LAN Port Test Program.
2) connect each other LAN Port Jack.
3) Play Test (F9) button and confirm OK Message.
4) remove LAN CABLE

4. Total Assembly line process
4.1. Adjustment Preparation
■ W/B Equipment condition
   ▪  Color  analyzer(CA100+,  CA210)  should  be  used  in  the 
calibrated ch by CS-1000
   ▪  Operate  the  zero-calibration  of  the  CA100+  or  CA-210,  then 
stick sensor to the module when adjusting.
   ▪  For  manual  adjustment,  it  is  also  possible  by  the  following 
sequence.
      (1)  Select white pattern of heat-run by pressing “POWER ON” 
key on remote control for adjustment then operate heat run 
longer than 15 minutes. 
          ( If  not  executed  this  step,  the  condition  for  W/B  may  be 
different.)
      (2)  Push “Exit” key.
      (3)  Change to the AV mode by remote control.
      (4)  Input external pattern (80% white pattern)
      (5)  Push the ADJ key => Enter “0000” (Password)
      (6)  Select “3. W/B ADJUST”
      (7)  Enter the W/B ADJUST Mode
      (8)  Stick the sensor to the center of the screen and select each 
items (Red/Green/Blue Gain and Offset) using ▲/▼(CH +/-) 
key on R/C..
      (9)  Adjust R/ G/ B Gain using ◄/►(VOL +/-) key on R/C.
      (10)  Adjust three modes all (Cool / Medium / Warm) : Fix the 
one of R/G/B gain and change the others
      (11)  If Model is UD ,
              Adjust modes (Cool) Fix the G gain to 172 (default data) 
and change the others ( R/B Gain ).
              Adjust two modes ( Medium / Warm) Fix the one of R/G/B 
gain to 192 (default data) and decrease the others.
      (12)  When adjustment is completed,  Enter “COPY ALL” 
      (13)  Exit adjustment mode using EXIT key on R/C.
 CASE
First adjust the coordinate far away from the target value(x, y).
(1) x, y >target
    i) Decrease the R, G. 
(2) x, y< target
    ii) First decrease the B gain, 
    iii) Decrease the one of the others.
(3) x >target ,  y<target
    i) First decrease B, so make y a little more than the target.
    ii) Adjust x value by decreasing the R
(4).  x<target ,  y>target
    i) First decrease B, so make x a little more than the target.
    ii) Adjust x value by decreasing the G

▪ Change reason :  When  vivid  mode,  more  detail  than  other 
company set.
●  In case of Edge LED module, the color coordinates is changing 
by aging, so you have to use the below table.

■  In the SET applied LED module (LM9600), cause of the physical 
characteristics of LED Module, sets are taken a 120 minutes by 
aging time to stabilize a color coordinates. 
    So White Balance Control equipments have to get the SET Aging 
Time from the SET and then going to control the W/B by revise 
color coordinates at each time
-  To check the Coordinates of White Balance, you have to measure 
at the below conditions.
  Picture Mode : select Vivid and change  
                          Dynamic Contrast : Off , 
                          Dynamic Colour : Off, 
                          Clear White : Off
            => Picture Mode change : Vidid => Vivid(User)
(If  you  miss  the  upper  condition,  the  coordinates  of  W/B  can  be 
lower than the spec.)
  Connecting picture of the measuring instrument 
         (On Automatic control)
Inside PATTERN is used when W/B is controlled. Connect to 
auto controller or push Adjustment R/C POWER-ON -> Enter 
the mode of White-Balance, the pattern will come out.
 Auto-control interface and directions
(1)  Adjust  in  the  place  where  the  influx  of  light  like  floodlight 
around is blocked. (Illumination is less than 10ux).
(2)  Adhere closely  the Color Analyzer ( CA210 ) to the module 
less  than  10cm  distance,  keep  it  with  the  surface  of  the 
Module and Color Analyzer’s Prove vertically.(80~100°).
(3) Aging time
-  After  aging  start,  keep  the  power  on  (no  suspension  of 
power supply) and heat-run over 5 minutes.
-  Using ‘no signal’ or ‘full white pattern’ or the others, check 
the back light on.
