3) Form the pipings
1. Wrap the connecting portion of indoor unit with the
insulation material and secure it with two Plastic
Bands. (for the right pipings)
• If you may connect an additional drain hose, the end
of the drain-outlet should keep distance from the
ground. (Do not dip it water, and fix it on the wall to
avoid swinging in the wind.)
2. Tape the Pipings, drain hose and Connecting and
Signal Cable from down to up.
3. Form the pipings gathered by taping along the
exterior wall and fix it onto the wall by saddle or
equivalent.

5. Air Purging of the Pipings and indoor unit
• The air which contains a moisture is remaining in the refrigeration cycle may cause a malfunction on the
compressor.
• Air-purging should be conducted in each unit (A, B, C unit).
• Prior to air-purging, confirm that both the liquid side valve and the gas side valve are set to the closed position.
• Prior to the test operation disconnect the power, because there is no need to turn on the air conditioner for the
air-purging.
• The additional gas for air-purging in outdoor unit should not be provided by factory.
CAUTION
1) Air purging by means of a vacuum pump.
1. Separate service port caps and valve stem caps by using a torque wrench.
2. Confirm that both the liquid side valve and the gas side valve are set to the chosed position.
3. Connect the center hose of the manifold gauge and a vacuum pump.
4. Connect the service port of the liquid side valve and the high side of the gauge.
Confirm that the low side of the gauge are set to the closed position.
5. Evacuate for 10 minutes or more.
Close the hi-handle of the gauge and turn off the vacuum pump, after confirming that the gauge needle has
moved toward 760mmHg.
6. Disconnect the vacuum pump from the gauge.
7. Set the both liquid and gas side valves to open position with hexagonal wrench for the unit operation.
8. Checking a gas leagage.
Check the flare connections for gas leakage.
9. Mount the valve stem caps and the service port caps.
10. Apply step from 1 to 9 to each unit (A, B, C unit) by the same method.

2) Air purging by means of a gas cylinder.
1. Separate service port caps an valve stem caps by using a torque wrench.
2. Confirm that both the liquid side valveand the gas side valve are set to the closed position.
3. Connect the center hose of the manifold gauge and a gas cylinder to the service port of the liquid side valve.
Leave the valve on the gas cylinder closed.
4. Check for gas leakage.
Open the valves on the gas cylinder and the hi-handle of the gauge, wait 10 seconds, and then set the valve to
closed position. Check the flare connections for gas leakage.
5. Air-purging.
Open the valve on the gas cylinder and hi-handle of the gauge. Using the hexagonal wrench to press the liquid
side valve's core pin, discharge for three seconds and then wait for one minute. Repeat this three times.
6. Discharge the refrigerant.
Close the valve on the gas cylinder and discharge the refrigerant until the gauge indicates 0.5 to 1kg/cm
2
G.
7. Disconnect the gauge from the service port and mount the service port caps.
8. Set the both liquid and gas side valves to open position with the hexagonal wrench for the unit operation.
9. Mount the valve stem caps by using a torque wrench.
10. Apply step from 1 to 9 to each unit (A, B, C unit) by the same method.

If gas leakage are discovered, take the following measures:
If the gas leaks stop when the piping connections are tightened further, continue working.
If the gas leaks do not stop when the connections are retightened, repair the location of the leak, discharge
all of the gas through teh srvice port, and then recharge with the specified amount of gas from a gas cylinder.
