JBL OnBeat Micro
Software upgrade instructions
The version of this upgrade is: V0.7.7
This upgrade improves the auto-standby functionality.
Before you upgrade:
1. You may check the present software version by docking an iPhone, selecting “General” followed
by “About” followed by “JBL OnBeat Micro”. Now you can see the firmware version.
2. Unzip the file that you have downloaded from the JBL web site onto an empty FAT32 formatted
USB stick. File name on the USB stick: “image.hex”
3. Disconnect the power supply cable from the OnBeat Micro.
4. Remove the batteries from the OnBeat Micro. This is shown in the owner’s manual.

How to upgrade:
1. Press and hold down both the Power and the Volume Up buttons.
2. Insert the power supply cable back into the OnBeat Micro while still holding Power and Vol.
3. Check that the Power LED flashes white and amber. When it does, release both buttons.
4. Insert the USB stick into the rear panel USB port. Wait about one minute until upgrading has
