The JBL warranty on the electronic components in this
loudspeaker system remains in effect for one year from the
date of the first consumer purchase.

The JBL warranty on the loudspeakers (except enclosures)
remains in effect for five years from the date of the first
consumer purchase.

Enclosures are warranted for two

years from the date of the purchase.

WHO IS PROTECTED BYTHIS WARRANTY
The JBL warranty protects the original owner and all
subsequent owners providing the loudspeaker was
purchased from an authorized dealer in the United States
or purchased by military personnel from an authorized
military outlet.

The original dated bill of sale must be

presented whenever warranty service is required.

WHAT IS COVERED BYTHIS WARRANTY
Except as specified below, the JBL warranty covers all
defects in material and workmanship. The following are not
covered: Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse,

Although this amplifier has a power switch, hazardous

voltages are present within the unit whenever it is plugged
in. This still applies when the over-temperature thermostat
opens, as it may automatically reset at any time.

There are voltages and hot components at many points

in the amplifier which can, if contacted, cause serious injury.
Be extremely careful.

Any adjustments or service

procedures that require operation of the amplifier out of its
enclosure should be performed only by trained service
personnel.

DO NOT RETURN PRODUCTS TO THE JBL FACTORY
You are responsible for transporting you product for repair.
If purchased in the United States, JBL will pay reasonable
return charges for delivery to any location within the Untied
States if the repair is covered under the warranty.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also
have other rights which vary from state to state. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental

implied warranty lasts, so the above may not apply to you.

1. Output Level - The Output Level adjustment

determines volume level strength.

2. Crossover Frequency - The Crossover Frequency

adjustment determines the highest frequency the
HT PS300 will reproduce. It allows a seamless
transition from the subwoofer to the satellite
speakers.

3. On (LED) - This LED will light green when the unit is

turned on and is receiving signal.

4. Standby (LED) - This LED will light red when the

unit goes into standby mode. This will occur after
6 minutes of no signal. When the “Standby” LED
lights the “On” LED turns off.

5. THX Input/Output - This THX Input is to be

connected to the “subwoofer out” of a surround
processor/receiver that is THX certified or contains
a subwoofer crossover. This THX Output is used
to link an additional HT PS300 in series.

6. Line Level Input - These left and right Line Level

Inputs are used when surround processor/receiver
does not contain a subwoofer crossover.

7. THX/Normal Switch - This switch determines either

THX or Normal operation. When this switch is set
to “THX”, the internal crossover and output level
control are bypassed. Use the THX position when
using a THX certified processor/receiver; use the
normal position when using an unfiltered line level
output.

8. Phase Switch - The Phase switch is used to adjust

the relative polarity of the subwoofer. Ordinarily
this switch is set at “0”.

9. High Level Inputs - These High Level Inputs are for

receivers that don’t have subwoofer outputs. The
OUTPUT terminals are internally connected to the
INPUT terminals; there is no filtering to the satellite
speakers.

10. Power Switch - This cuts the power to the unit.

The HT PS300 was designed to be left on. It will
automatically place itself in standby mode when not
in use.
