Description: The MC-4/AV1 Digital Controller is a reference quality audio and video digital
control center with built-in audio processing and digital to analog conversion. The MC-4/AV1
includes playback of the most popular audio formats such as: THX Surround EX; dts ES; Dolby
Digital, dts; Dolby6 Pro-Logic and Lexicon’s own proprietary LOGIC7.

2.1.1 System
Operation
The system was configured in a typical operation. During testing the EUT was configured in a
typical operation. During testing the MC-4/AV1 was connected to a DVD player. The composite
video and analog audio output L/R from the DVD player will be connected to the MC-4/AV1
Composite Video Input and Analog IN1. From the MC-4/AV1 Video Monitor Out and Main
Analog Out to Front Panel Inputs on the 13” TV. During test the DVD player will play a movie
and the audio and video signals will be monitored on the TV screen. Both the DVD player and
the TV will be below the ground plane of the test site

Test Facility Description
The test facility is located on the premises of Entela-Boston at 37-1 Ayer Road, Littleton, MA
01460. All testing is performed in an Open Area Test Site conforming to the site attenuation
characteristics defined by CISPR Publication 16. Test methods and facilities have been audited
and accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).

2.3 Test
Equipment
All equipment used in the testing process has up to date calibrations traceable to the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Refer to Table 2.3-1 for a complete list of
equipment used during the testing.

2.4 Product Disposition
All items received for testing undergo an inspection to ensure proper working condition upon
reception and before return shipment. The unit under test passed the incoming inspection when
received for testing on July 21, 2004, and August 10, 2004. The unit was returned to the client’s
facility at the completion of testing after passing the final inspection.
