2.3. Description and Method of Exercising the EUT
The Go + Play is an Audio/Peripheral System. Its function is play music from an Apple
IPOD or another digital music source. The EUT was exercised by playing pink noise
provided from a support CD player. An un-recoverable audio disruption or loss of controls
or functions during immunity tests as indicated by audible reception or failing to respond to
manual control functions would indicate a failure.

3. DESCRIPTION OF TEST SITE AND EQUIPMENT
3.1. Description of Test Site
The test site is located at 11696 Sorrento Valley Road, Suite F, San Diego, CA 92121. The site is physically
located 18 miles Northwest of downtown San Diego. The general area is a valley 1.5 miles east of the Pacific
Ocean. This particular part of the valley tends to minimize ambient levels, i.e. radio and TV broadcast
stations and land mobile communications. The three and ten-meter Open Area Test Site (OATS) is located
behind the office/lab building. It conforms to the normalized site attenuation limits and construction
specifications as set in the EN 55022: 1998/A1: 2000/A2: 2003, CISPR 16: 2003 and ANSI C63.4: 2003
documents. The OATS normalized site attenuation characteristics are verified for compliance every year, and
registered with the Federal Communications Commission under Registration Number 90579.
4. DESCRIPTION OF TESTING METHODS
4.1. Introduction
Nemko USA, Inc. is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation
Program (NVLAP) for Electromagnetic Compatibility and Telecommunications testing. Part of the
accreditation process involves the demonstration of competence in various test methods.
Prior to the beginning of work, Nemko personnel work with their clients to ensure the proper test standards
and test methods are utilized. Applicable tests and the minimum criteria for a pass condition are listed in the
administrative section of this report.
