FESTIVAL 80 SUBWOOFER DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect all external cables; lay the subwoofer on a padded surface so the grille is facing
upwards. Remove grille.
2. Remove the (4 each) #8 x ¾” woofer mounting screws to remove the woofers; the woofers may
seem “stuck” to the cabinet. Carefully pry each woofer rim away from the cabinet with a wide flat
screwdriver, taking care not to mar the cabinet surface.

7. Remove both amplifier assemblies partially out of the cabinet and rest them on the cabinet

8. Pull the speaker wires up and out of the cabinet; these may be re-connected to the woofers or a

resistive load during testing, depending on preference.
9. No additional connectors need to be removed and amplifiers can remain connected as-is, this
should be sufficient for most servicing.
10. After completion of service, thread the speaker wires back into the cabinet *, insert the amplifiers
back into their cavities and replace all screws; re-insert, re-connect and and fasten both woofers.

* When re-connecting speaker wires, it’s not critical that a certain pair of wires connect to a certain woofer
(since both black wires and both white wires are in parallel); however, there is one longer set of wires that
should be matched up with the woofer that is furthest from the connection point.
