There are two versions of DVD22 as we have two different mechanism  
See below the SN cut.  

DVD22/230  WA0008-01001 WA0008-67633 HD60

The two mechanisms are interchangeable as long the right software is used.  
So if you change a DV34 with a DV342 use the DV342 software or vs.  
  
Please note that both DV34 and DV342 unzip files have names so extract the zip in to two separate folder on your PC.  
  
This software enable playback of DVD's with large amount of data on the Disc menu. 
So it will help on issue were the player do not load the disc. 
 
Procedure:  

1. 

Unzip the file. In the Zip file is two files  
Note the files will not indicate what software version it is. 
 

2. 

Write a CD-ROM with only the Aml_dd.txt and Dvd22.bin files on.  
NOTE: use high quality disc and use lowest speed possible for writing the disc.  

 

3. 

Load the disc in to DVD22. 

 

4. The 

PLAYER menu will show. 

 

5. Highlight 

the 

CD-ROM UPGRADE DISC by pushing the down arrow. 

 

6. 

Follow the instruction in the bottom of the screen.  

 

7. 

Note the screen will freeze when the upload is confirmed.  

 

8. 

The display of the unit will show the status of the upgrade procedure afterwards. 
Display will count from 01 to 99. (Will not show on the screen) 

 

9. 

The unit will eject the disc when the upgrades are done. 

 

10.  Remove the disc 

 

11.  Unplug the unit from main plug  

 

12.  Plug the unit in again and power on 

 

13.  Confirm the software is correct by enter the OSD/SETUP/ENTER and push 1211  

(A service menu will show the version and zone…). 

 

Note: the upgrade will not change the region settings.
