Subject:
Front door makes a ratchet-like, clattering sound when pushed to close it.
In the event you receive a DMC 1000 with mechanical noise and bad mechanical function when
closing the front door:
Cause: Damper gear toothed parts are out of alignment.
Remedy: Set the gear wheel in right position and fasten it.
Step by Step:
• Remove the two screws that hold the plastic trim panel as pointed out below.
• Remove the trim panel by gently pulling it down and outwards at the bottom.
It is held in place by two plastic claws pointing upwards, so do not force it out or directly

• Remove the side panels.
• Remove the top cover.
